Orbit 62100 Yard Enforcer Motion-Activated Sprinkler with Day & Night Detection Modes ReviewBuy it Now

Orbit 62100 Yard Enforcer Motion Activated SprinklerThe Orbit 62100 Yard Enforcer Motion Activated Sprinkler is one of the best products in its group. Purchasers prefer this brand owing to many factors, so let’s assess the reasons behind their preference and mine. Personally, the main thing that attracts me is the high-quality material used to make the product and the overall design.

The durable construction, provides you with an assurance that neither wind nor animals can be able to remove it from its place. The design is up to date and on point; the matte black color is so suitable to avoid unnecessary attention, thus enabling the device to be able to frighten enemies imperceptibly.

Product Features

The Orbit 62100 Yard Enforcer Motion Activated Sprinkler comprises of several parts that get assembled to form the product. The parts facilitate easier transportation and better storage of the product while at home. A notable feature I prefer is that the motion sensor gets regulated by two planes. It is also convenient for system calibration. The unit has the following features:

  • A 120-degree sensor with different activation modes
  • Heavy duty construction with metal and brass hose connection
  • Over 7.5 activation cycles
  • Intelligent sensing technology

There is a battery section right under the sensor. A good pair of 4AA batteries offers the device an economical usage and can last for 7.500 cycles. So even it if goes off 10 times a day, the batteries can last up to 2 years.

Another of its best features about this unit is it that it is very power-efficient. It also has regulator buttons so you can change the distance and water duration.

The timer-switcher offers the following modes “day only,” “night only,” “off,” and “always on.” The timer allows you to use the device at your convenience and not accidentally spraying the kids or yourself.

It has a “patrol” mode that allows for watering every 30 minutes. Although this method might not be as suitable since many animals are cunning creatures that adapt quickly to watering timing.

Cons

The only thing I can think of for a con is it cost a few extra dollars than other products of its kind.  That being said I would rather pay a couple of extra dollars for the best product available.Motion censored sprinkler

Other Points on the Orbit 62100 Yard Enforcer

If you have a watering system all, you need to do is to include the Orbit device into it and obtain a completely guarded perimeter. The motion sensor will get activated, and all your connected taps will start working. Your enemy gets trapped and has to flee while wet.Amazon Reviews

Conclusions

The Orbit 62100 Yard Enforcer Motion Activated Sprinkler is very useful in keeping animals of all kinds out of your garden and yard and is one of the best.

Other units simply cannot compare to this motions sensor sprinkler regarding simplicity and control. It can also be note that deer fences and netting are expensive and inconvenient at times.  That is why this is one of my favorite options for a variety of animal control situations.

The Orbit Yard Enforcer provides you with a proven way of protecting at least a 1600 square foot area. For effective control of cats, birds, dogs, and other pets you don’t need to hurt them just squirt them.  If you haven’t read my story on the home page go ahead and check it out after all This is what I used to save my basil.

    Hi there Buddy,

Excellent review and thanks for sharing it with us, really appreciated.

I have a particular problem with pesky pest! the common field mouse! Do you know of something that can keep them at bay, other than a water operated device as unfortunately living out in Thailand there is no water at night and I would rather not waste such a resource anyway.

any suggestions appreciated! (I ask as you appear to be an expert in this area)

    Thanks in advance.

      Derek,

Thanks for the comment on the Orbit 62100. Two things it wont work well with mice at all. A better idea to help with mice is the ultrasonic devices. You can check out my number one pick for those devices here.

Let me know how it all works out for you.

An impressive product – it sounds very high tech and the battery life is phenomenal!
I like all the modes that this product can be set to – it seems very convenient and efficient in what it does, so the price doesn’t appear too much.

Seems like a bargain, thanks for the information!

      Isobel,

Thanks for the comment and yes I really like the fact that the battery life is long. That can also be a downfall. What I personally do is just set a reminder in my calendar about one year out to change the battery. Just to make sure things are working right and it is consistent.

Thanks for the very informative article. I really like several features of this product. Both the fact that it’s unobtrusive and that the battery life is long are great. Of course, the best part is that it won’t hurt the critters. I have a real problem with bunnies eating all the blossoms in my garden. I love them but what a pain. Will this device work well for bunnies?

I dont fully understand the “30 minute cycle” Please explain with different words.
When activated , is it 30 minutes before it will activate again ?
When activated, what is different ?
When not activated what is the effect?

      Frank,
Thank you for the question. The 30 minute cycle is a feature that allows the sprinkler to act as a normal sprinkler and you can cycle for up to a thirty minute spray for watering the lawn. Other than that nothing is different in the sprinkler when it is active and not active. I hope that answered your question.

My 30 min cycle didn’t stop after the time duration. How do I fix it?

Sorry, it took me so long to respond to you. I have been looking into the issue that you stated you had. From what I found the water pressure can play a role in the proper operation of the sprinkler itself. The water pressure should be between 20-120 psi. If this is not the issue, I would contact orbit directly at this address https://www.orbitonline.com/contact
      I hope that was helpful.
